St Clements supports several link missionaries including a number through the Church Missionary Society. Letters from our link missionaries are available periodically at the back of the church building.
Helen Hoskins
Helen Hoskins has been serving with CMS for many years in Bunda, Tanzania (East Africa). The Bunda Deanery consists of three parishes (20 churches and still new ones opening) along the shore of Lake Victoria.
Helen is responsible for a Regional Resource Centre in the Bunda Deanery. She runs short seminars and teaching days in the village church centres with groups including evangelists, Sunday school teachers and religious education teachers for primary schools.
Andrew and Dominique Gifford
CMS missionaries Andrew and Dominique Gifford will spend this year studying language and culture and settling their children into life in Spain. Later they will use their gifts of teaching, pastoring and hospitality within the Spanish Reformed Episcopal Church.
Scripture Teaching in Fairfield
FEAST is the Fairfield Evangelical Association of Scripture Teachers - An interdenominational board established in 2006 to fund, coordinate, and develop Scripture (SRE) in local public High Schools. Mike Toulmin has been teaching Scripture in both Fairfield and Prairiewood High Schools since 2007.
Mercy Schips
For over 30 years, the internationally recognised ship-based charity has been providing FREE medical, dental and community development aid to the poorest nations of the earth. Mercy Ships operates the world's largest non-governmental hospital ship, the Africa Mercy. She is nearly the length of two football fields, has SIX state of the art operating theatres and 78 hospital beds.
AFES - Tim and Katrina Earnshaw
Tim and Katrina moved to Townsville at the start of 2006 to work with the Christian Union. Tim's main focus is looking after the blokes and overseeing the ministry in the residential colleges. He wants everyone at James Cook Uni to know about the Lordship of Jesus and hopes that many students in Townsville will come to serve him with their whole lives. He loves seeing students excited by the gospel and making the most of the opportunities that university provides.
BCA - Dale and Rachel Barclay
Through the support of the Bush Church Aid Society (BCA) and the Diocese of Bendigo, Dale and Rachel are establishing a ministry in Sunraysia South. Based in Red Cliffs they are 544km North-West from Melbourne and 16km south of Mildura.
