This competition was a very close thing. Jonathan Elsom was once again a stand out storyteller, and ran a very close second to Maris' entry. It is getting harder and harder to pick a winner from the many excellent stories we receive. Raspberry & Vine is even attracting entries from overseas, and from established writers. We also have a growing number of authors entering stories in every competition, with some of them making the short list several times. Whilst we keep the short list to just ten, there were many stories that only narrowly missed out. Keep up the good work, and if you've never entered before, give it a go; you might surprise yourself. Congratulations to all who entered - you are a writer if you write!
Remember that if you have some stories you would like to share or receive feedback on, post them on our Forum. We hope you enjoy the winning entry, and look forward to reading more from all of you in the future. Our next competition is open now.
