Beginning in 1708 land transactions in Ireland were registered with the
Registry of Deeds in Dublin. However, registration was not compulsory, and not
every land transaction was registered in Dublin. The Registry of Deeds contains
deeds of sale, lease agreements, marriage settlements and wills.

Abstract registers of Quaker births, marriages and burials extending back
into the mid-1600s are available at the DFHL. The "Jones Index"
at the DFHL lists each surname found in the abstract registers and shows
in which monthly meetings a birth, death or marriage was registered for
this surname.
