"To the memory of | Henry BRUEN | of Oak Park in this County | Member of Parliament | for the County of Carlow | Colonel of the Carlow | Regiment of Militia | Born 3rd October 1789 | Died 6th November 1852 | Also of Anne WANDESFORDE | his wife Born 1800 | Died 17 October 1830."

'Vault surmounted by an altar-tomb, enclosed by an iron railing.  The following inscription is cut on the tomb:―
"Here lieth the body of Henry BRUEN of | Oak Park in the County of Carlow Esquire | who departed this life on the 14th day of | December in the year of our Lord 1795 | in the 55th year of his age."

"Erected in affectionate remembrance | of the late Rev. James BREDIN A.M. |Rector of Myshall, Co. Carlow | and 29 years Rector of this Parish and | Precentor of Old Leighlin, who departed | this life the 21st day of August 1872 | aged 82 years | Also in memory of his Mary | his wife who died the 11th day of July 1872, aged 76 years. | Waiting for the coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ.― 1 Cor. 1.v.7." [An upright stone.]

"Beneath this stone lies the remains of | Thomas Baskerville RYLAY Esq. | of Whitley Farm, Wiltshire | who died Nov. 3, 1847 aged 85 years | also | the remains of Mrs. Anne RYLAY | wife of the above, who departed this life | Sept. 8th 1834 aged 64 years."  [A flat stone.]
'This gentleman lived with Mr. BREDIN and died at Nurney.'

"Erected by John NEWLAND of Nurney | in memory of his beloved daughter | Jane NEWLAND | who died the 17 Feb. 1862 | aged 24 years."  [Flat stone.]

"Scared to the memory of D.M. MOORE who died | April 1st 1861 aged 50 years | Also his wife Agnes. B. MOORE who died | July 24 1850 aged 45 years."  [A flat stone.]

A gift of £500 was given towards the erection of this church in 1788, by the Board of First Fruits. The Parish Register dates from 1820, four volumes, to 1878.
