WHERE
IS THE LATROBE VALLEY ?
The LaTrobe Valley is located on the Princes Highway,
approximately 130 Km East of Melbourne, in Victoria, Australia. The main towns
of the LaTrobe Valley are Moe, Newborough, Morwell, Traralgon and Churchill and
the population of the LaTrobe Shire is approximately 67,600. The Major
industries in the LaTrobe Valley consist of Brown Coal Open Cut Mines, Power
Stations, the Australian Paper Mill and some sheep, dairy and beef farming. The
club also has members from Warragul, Drouin and Pakenham which are towns on the
Princes Highway between the LaTrobe Valley and Melbourne and members from Sale
which is on the Princes Highway heading
East to the Gippsland Lakes.
