The APHA is made up of people from all walks of life who are interested in the Palomino Horse. The Association originally formed at Sydney Royal in 1948 and formerly affiliated with the RAS of NSW in the same year has seen a long and chequered history. 1995 marked the restoration of the original founders goals with the Association restructuring into a formal National body with a Board of Directors elected by the Membership to govern the organisation, and oversee its future growth and direction.
The original aims of the Founding fathers have also been re-adopted by the Association so that Palomino Horses and Ponies of all types irrespective of height can be recognised and registered with the Association.
