Russell Wood has some 36 years of experience teaching Taekwondo in Australia and Singapore. Russell is still competing in Sparring, Poomse, Breaking and other Technicial events. In the 2005 National Competition he won 3 Gold and 3 Silver medals. At the 2006 Victorian Team Selections Russell won 4 Gold Medals followed by a Gold and 2 Silver at 2006 Nationals. In 2007 Russell won 5 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 bronze Medal at the Australian Selections and National Muyae Championships. At the 2007 National Championships Russell won 5 Gold & 1 Silver. 2008 resulted in 3 Gold, 2 Silver & 2 Bronze plus 2 Gold Medals at the 3rd Oceania Championships in New Zealand. At the 2009 Australian Masters Russell won 7 Gold, 4 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal. Whilst in Europe Russell won Gold, Silver and Bronze at the Belgium 2009 Open Challenge Cup.

Joyce is a 4th Dan Black Belt and has been actively involved in Taekwondo over the past 11 years. Joyce was awarded best overall Female Competitor in the 3rd Asia Pacific Masters Games in 2002. Joyce recently completed her certificate III in Fitness and has now qualified as a Fitness Instructor. Joyce instructs a Martial Arts to music class especially for women at the Craigieburn College every Thursday evening. Joyce won 4 Gold,2 Silver and I Bronze Medal at the Victorian 2007 Australian Selections and National Muyae Championships. At the 2007 National Championships Joyce won 6 Gold Medals. 2008 resulted in 2 Gold Medals at the 3rd Oceania Championships in New Zealand. Jenelle joined Koryo Taekwondo as a white belt in 1999. She loved the sport so much and was inspired by the other instructors and members that she was determined to make it to black belt. Jenelle has now achieved that and much more, including competing in Australian National Championships winning a National Poomse Title in 2003 and Power Breaking event in 2005. Jenelle has also competed in the Trans Tasman Masters Games were she won many individually and team events in both Newcastle and New Zealand. Jenelle has now been teaching at Wallan for the past 4years and also enjoys assisting Glenn with the Kilmore classes. She now looking forward to continually improving her own skills to benifit her students.

Carl has been training with Russell Wood for over 27 years and is one of 3 Head Instructors within the club. He is a qualified 1st Class Referee and N.C.A.S Level 1 accredited coach. Carl has won several State and National sparring and Poomse competitions with the most recent being the Masters Games where he won 7 medals. As a country base Head Instructor Instructor Carl provides a link with our Metro Clubs.

Damien is now in his 18year of Taekwondo begining at the age of 6. He has obtained his 4th Dan Black Belt as well as being a 4th class referee and N.C.A.S lEVEL 1 coach. Damien likes to compete in State and National competitions where he also coaches our club members. Damien has won State and National competitions and is currently training for up and coming events.

Sammy has been training in Taekwondo for 19 years and has been with the Koryo Club for 6 years where he gained his 3rd Dan Black Belt. Sammy has competed in State Sparring competitions as well as winning State and National All Styles competitions incorporating sparring and poomse. As a country instructor he is keen to provide the same opportunities to the country competitors as available in the metro area's.

Corey has 16years experience in Taekwondo with the last 6 being with the Koryo Club. He has competed in State, All Styles competitions in Sparring and Poomse winning Gold medals for sparring in the 2006 and 2007 at the Nationals and enjoys the physical nature of Taekwondo. As another country instructor Corey is keen to provide quality instruction to all students.

Beverly(Bev) Walker

Beverly Walker (Bev) was a highly respected member of the Koryo Club who sadly passed away in 2005. Bev was a exceptional woman and a wonderful role model who touched so many lives. She became Koryo Taekwondo's first female 4th Dan Black belt and truely inspired us all . Bev will be remembered for her loyality, strength and courage.

 Every year the Koryo Taekwondo club hosts the "Beverly (Bev) Walker Trophy" Competiton in honor of Bev's memory. This gives us the opportunity to reflect and keep Bev"s spirit close to our hearts.
