Located just off King Street, Newtown, Australia Street Cottage is in the ultimate inner-west Sydney position:

As well as King Street’s bounty of buzzy places to eat and drink, there are
fun clothes and homewares stores (retro and new) and good bookshops.
There’s the Dendy Cinema for quality movies, the Enmore Theatre and
the Seymour Centre (each a 10-minute stroll) for theatre and live music,
and the Imperial Hotel (a 10-minute sashay down the road) for drag shows.

In the cottage you’ll find a folder with information on the best local eating and drinking, shopping and stepping out.

Across the road from the house is the Camperdown Memorial Rest Park, for jogging, strolling, or picnicking on the grass. It has a children’s play area and
the local laughing club meets here every Saturday morning.

The park also includes the gothic-style St Stephen’s church, designed by colonial architect Edmund Blackett and consecrated in 1874. Surrounding the church is the fabulously ancient and unkempt Camperdown cemetery.

Yoga classes are held across the road in the school hall and a mat is supplied
in the cottage. There are good doctors and osteopaths, dentists and opticians nearby, and plenty of pharmacies.

You can have a facial, tan or wax only a block away, and there are two pubs
within 100 metres, with good pub food and true eclectic Newtown atmosphere.
