These
are stories I have written about some of my experiences in life. Most
are light hearted events, funny or in some cases, unusual incidents.
I have
written them because I want those who
follow
me to know what it was like back 'then'. What I did and what my
time was like. Remember, it is not a global look at life, it is
about me and and some of my times.
It is not intended as an egotistical self promotion, that is not the
rationale behind why I wrote this. In reality I wanted to document my
experiences and times because when I pass very few would have taken the
opportunity to do the same so if my writings captures just a part of
life back 'then' I have achieved something. It is important to
record our history.
In writing these stories, I did not refer to any
notes or
diary entries but rather relied on my memory. In saying that it
might be wise to read
the information in this website in conjunction with the disclaimer.
Some you will note
from the links on the left that some are 'dead', these stories yet to
be
completed but are under construction - so, theres more coming!!!!!
I take this opportunity to acknowledge any photographs I may have
plagiarised, though there are not many, most are mine.
I have included a section on the top
left of each page
which will provide an indication when it has been
updated. Unfortunately this
update notification only applies to
each particular page or feature it updates. In other
words, if I
update one of the stories, the fact that 'it' has been updated
won't appear say, on this main index page. So you will have have
to work your way through the pages to see if anything has been
amended. In saying that, I am continually updating the pages and
information contained in this site so your efforts are not a lost
cause. Any suggestions in relation to this would be appreciated.
Finally,
touching on the people I have met in life I have found that as you pass
through it's various stages, you
make friends and acquaintanaces, but then as you move on,
many of
those people fall by the wayside, as you no doubt do in their lives.
Not many
are there for the long haul, other than your family who really have
little choice. I
applaud people who have life long friends.
I like to reflect on those
times gone by. When I was young most were happy days for
me. You mostly only remember the good times. I wish my
memory was sufficiently lubricated to reveal more of the times I had,
still I hope what is there reveals a little more of 'me'.
The greatest sweetener of
human life is Friendship. To raise this to the highest pitch of
enjoyment, is a secret which but few discover.
